Character Recognition Awards
Synergy & Leadership Exchange hosts the Character Recognition Awards each year to celebrate the statewide achievements of schools and community programs in building character strengths and ethical leadership skills in young people and in improving school climate and culture. The event spotlights honorees with exemplary efforts and inspires others with examples to replicate. Attendees include leaders from education, business, government and non-profit sectors as well as legislators, teachers and students. The event includes a luncheon and program celebrating the honorees. Awards presented include the Minnesota Schools/Districts of Character, Minnesota Promising Practices Awards, and the Minnesota Ethical Leadership Awards

Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m. All guests receive a wristband for admission to the Science Museum’s general exhibits on May 23.

Keynote Address by Laura Bloomberg, Ph.D.
Laura Bloomberg is an award-winning educator and respected leader. She serves as dean of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. Bloomberg’s research and teaching have focused on community-based leadership, program evaluation, public value creation, cross-cultural dialogue and educational policy. She believes the school’s mission to prepare leaders who can work across divides is more important than ever.
